Our Nexus Project colleagues from INOREVIA installed a working Magelia station in Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche laboratory in Milan.
Magelia platform offers automated biological sample preparation upstream of different analytical steps. In NEXUS project, INOREVIA is developing prototype cartridges for #EV isolation from plasma samples, expected to simplify sample handling and increase the efficiency of EVs recovery, reducing the turnaround and, in particular, hands on time, and overall, improving the robustness of the whole EV flow.
Once prototype is ready, it will be integrated and tested in NEXUS system enabling digital EV detection and multi-parametric analysis using iRiS Kinetics instrument already placed in line with Magelia in Marcella Chiari’s laboratory at CNR SCITEC ‘Giulio Natta’.
